Description
Qasr al-Ain or “Al Ain Palace”, is one of the best-reinstated forts in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The museum showcases the everyday life in a ruler’s fort when the late Sheikh Zayed and his family resided in the palace prior to 1966. The contrast of modern design elements with traditional Emirati influences can be seen throughout the property. The structure of the museum is a conglomeration of courtyards that merge the official and private use of the facilities in one complex.
This place is amazing, Al Ain Palace has so many unique areas and details waiting to be captured and it was a joy to have revisited it again in Sep 2019 for an assignment by the museum. This day started on site like 2-3 h prior to sunrise to capture plenty of night photos. However most important for me was to recreate the essence of what a typical morning at a Palace would look like with the sunlight, long shades, pleasing and gentle warmth brightening up this historical location.
