introduction
Comité Colbert started in 1954 by a group of 15 prominent business leaders with vision, seeking to parlay French style into economic strength and soft power for France. Four values – aesthetics, high standards, durability and respect – unite and guide the Colbert membership, which currently numbers 84 French luxury houses, 16 cultural institutions and six European members
Designed to explore 21st-century French luxury, an expression of French culture and to enter into a dialogue with the Emirati culture, Flânerie Colbert Abu Dhabi: French Luxury in the 21st Century celebrates the close relationship between France and the United Arab Emirates.
Unprecedented in scale, the Flânerie Colbert Abu Dhabi programme of events will take place in three different locations in the city to enrich the presentation of French luxury and enable both visitors and residents the chance to better grasp its singularity.
84 French luxury houses and 16 cultural institutions will be featured during the duration of Flânerie Colbert Abu Dhabi: French Luxury in the 21st Century.
